May 1st is here and its time to start thinking about targeting Amberjacks.  Amberjacks are common catches on our 6 and 8 hour federal water trips.  We do occasionally catch them on our bay boat trips as well.  We target them with live baits fished up in the water column.  Also successfully catch them on jigs as well.  The limit is 1 per person and they must be 34" to the fork of the tail to keep.  Amberjack are one of the hardest fighting fish that swims.  If you really want to put yourself to the test, give us a call and ask about booking a fishing trip and targeting Amberjacks!!!!
