The weather this May has gotten hot quick. The water is clear and warm and the fishing has not disappointed. The regular characters like the Spanish Mackeral, Slot Sized Redfish, King Mackeral, Speckled Trout and Flounder are starting there summer time patterns without missing a beat. One really neat thing this year is we’ve had a very nice migration of Mahi Mahi show up nearshore this year. This is a real treat and something that happens from time to time. It’s been a couple years since we’ve seen any numbers and it’s been a nice addition to the days catch.  While we’re talking about offshore. Let’s talk about Amberjack and Triggerfish. They are in season right now and the bite is as good as it gets. That’s all I have for now. Next big thing to happen is RED SNAPPER SEASON!!!! Don’t forget to reserve your dates as the boats and calendar fill up quick!!! Snapper Season will open on June 11 this year and the final day to bring some home is July 20!!!  Capt Willie, Capt Mike and myself  are ready to get y’all on the water this summer!!!!

Until Next Time
